Exciting Skilling Queenslanders for Work news - New Programs Starting August 2018
The training department has had a very exciting month with the news that we have won the next round of “Skilling Queenslanders for Work” initiative.
If you are a Queenslander aged 15 years or older, no longer at school and need help to secure a job, then our program can help you.
“Skilling Queenslanders for Work” funds training and support for unemployed or underemployed people, with a focus on young people (including those in and transitioned from out-of-home care), Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, mature-age jobseekers, women re-entering the workforce, veterans and ex-service personnel and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
“Skilling Queenslanders for Work” programs help job seekers gain the skills, qualifications and experience they need to enter and stay in the workforce.
This is a fully subsidised program and if you have already completed a Certificate III or higher then this program allows you to have a second chance.
It does not matter if you have not studied in a while or find study difficult, our program is designed to help you through any barriers and you will also have access to a mentor 24/7.
What we have on offer:-
Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathway, leading them into a Certificate III in Community Services or Certificate II in Hospitality.

Individuals who have an existing qualifications are still eligible to participate in the SQW as the initiative offers people to retrain and and gain new qualifications.
